Deleting old account

Postby Wovstah on Fri Nov 06, 2009 1:11 pm

Hey! I'm ye old person from back in the days. I came back wanting to delete my old account. It's under this same username - Wovstah. At one point I came back and followed instructions to log in to my old account, but I've forgotten how to get there. If anybody can point me in the right direction, it would be helpful.

Thanks!

... You know, I think I've done it. :D Yup! Found the old FTP and deleted it all. X3 It helps to use Google. The site admin, however, says my username is invalid... Heh.
But is there any way to change my site title or just get rid of my old comic site completely? If an admin messages me about this, I'll explain my situation.
Basically, it's an embarrassing comic name that was my brother's idea and it still shows up in Google cache. I just don't want to be associated with it anymore.

If you've deleted all the files out of the public_html/comic and public_html/d folders then the account will be automatically deleted after about 90 days.

However, there is not a lot you can do about the Google Cache other than feed it new data. If you create a new index page (or new indextemplate.html page) and put a bunch of random words (lots of stuff other than what you don't want on their, such as your name) and then dump a bunch of links to the comic (after you have confirmed that it updated) then Google will sooner or later cache new version which no longer has your name - problem solved.

In theory at least. I'm pretty sure that Google only stores the most recent stuff and dumps old data.
